Gopinath (Gopi) Nageshwaran, MD, MBA
A global healthcare leader who translates complex evidence strategies into business impact by aligning stakeholders, accelerating decision-making and building scalable evidence-generation capabilities.
Gopi trained as a physician at Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute and began his career in clinical oncology. He later earned a Global Executive MBA in Healthcare & Life Sciences from the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto.
Across roughly 17 years in Medical Affairs and healthcare, he has held leadership roles at AstraZeneca, Novartis and Sanofi — including Chief Scientific Officer ad interim at Novartis Singapore; Global Project Head for the New Vaccines Portfolio and Strategy & Innovation Lead in Sanofi Vaccines R&D; and, most recently, Global Medical Evidence Generation Head, Immunology at Sanofi. He has supported launches including Brilinta in India and Entresto across Asia-Pacific, and championed earlier, Phase 1-onward evidence planning.
Beyond Scientel Dx, Gopi serves on the board of MassRobotics, mentors founders through the MIT GrandHack, Massachusetts Innovation Network and McCarthy Venture Mentoring Network, and invests as a strategic angel in early-stage biotech and health-tech.
